THE FACESHOP: Face It Aura CC Cream

Why is it when someone applies this for me it always looks better than when I apply it on myself :/

CC cream is supposedly the better version of BB cream because it comes with properties that BB creams don't have such as brightening and anti-wrinkle.

Anyway, this is the first CC cream I've ever bought (and the only one I have) because I'm not much of a makeup hoarder. If I find a product that works, then I will continue to use it rather than switching products once in a while. The saleslady at The Faceshop applied this on my face for me and it looked REALLY nice and because I didn't have a CC cream, I decided to buy it. It was really expensive ($62NZD). Even online it's $20+ USD >_<

There are only two colours and I got mine in 01. Radiant Beige

Product Description:
This CC cream claims to have brightening, anti-wrinkle, and SPF 30 effects. Lasts and be hydrating for 12 hours.

Packaging:
I really like the packaging because it's very simple but has a classy feel to it. It's surprisingly not very heavy. It's easily opened with a spring opener so one push is all it takes to open it, which I like xD

Once opened, there's a compact mirror inside which is great for application and whenever you need/want to touch up. It comes with a sponge that I tend to use because it works nicely but you can use any tool of your choice :)

The product comes out of this little hole

Application:
The product comes out by pressing the button. You can control how much comes out by how far down you press. You don't want to press too hard or you'll get too much product. A little goes a long way (for me) so you don't want to waste anything :)

Results:
I decided to show a swatch of this on top of eyeliner so you guys can see the coverage. For a CC cream it actually as medium-high coverage, depending on how many layers you apply. I only applied one layer of product here and you can see it slightly covers the eyeliner.

I don't think I've had this product on for 12hours so I can't say if it does last that long but for the amount of time I've had it on, it stays put perfectly. I've never needed to touch up (but I usually don't touch up anyway).

Currently I'm applying this on my dark circles as a concealer and it works really well. I still like to use my Holika Holika BB cream on my face because unfortunately, this is the kind of product that you can tell you have makeup on :( So even if you get high coverage from this, it's really obvious you have makeup on.

Pros:
Easy to apply
Great packaging
Good coverage if you want light-medium coverage
Long-lasting
Doesn't melt in the heat
SPF

Cons:
Quite pricey
Obvious you have makeup on
Not a good product if you have oily skin

Overall:
I wouldn't repurchase this product again because even though it does a good enough job for me, I don't like how it doesn't look very natural. Also it's very pricey if I buy it here in stores and I feel like with the $62 I could get a much better product with better results. I still like this product though, I just don't LOVE it ^^"

Where to buy:

Do you have any BB or CC creams you've tried out and you've really liked? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,
Melissa ♡
